The short version. Write what you like, within reason. What you publish is yours, and you are answerable for it. Locuust has no room for sexual content involving children, harassment, hate, threats or spam, and the people who run it will remove it and the accounts behind it. If you see something wrong, report it; if someone bothers you, block them.
By making an account or using Locuust you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, have a parent or guardian's say-so, and use your own judgment about stories rated Mature. Locuust is for you to write and read serialized fiction; it is not for anything else, and you may not use it to break the law.
What you write and publish stays yours. By publishing, you let Locuust show it to the people who can read it (anyone signed in, and its card to anyone with a link) for as long as it is published, and keep copies as needed to run the site. Take it down and that stops. Do not publish what is not yours to publish, and do not copy other people's work as your own.
None of this belongs here, in a story, a comment, a post, a message, a profile, a picture or a name:
Fiction may deal with dark things. Rate a story honestly (General, Teen, Mature) and mark its content warnings, so people can choose what they read. Dark subject matter in a rated and labelled story is not a breach; the things above are.
Every story, comment, post and profile has a way to report it. The people who run Locuust read every report and aim to look at each within 24 hours. You can also block anyone, and they will not be told. If something is clearly against these terms we remove it first and talk afterwards.
We may remove any content, unpublish a story, or limit or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, with or without warning, depending on how serious it is. If we take something down, you keep your own draft; if we close an account, we say why when we can. You can ask us to look again by emailing kani@locuust.com.
Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if someone else has it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; the privacy policy says what that removes.
Locuust is run by a small team and is offered as it is. We work to keep your writing safe and the site running, but we cannot promise it will never lose anything or go down, so keep a backup of what matters (Settings has one button for it). To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what other people write or for losses from using the site.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we will say so inside Locuust.
